Recipes with activated carbon: from bread to ice cream to health!

Activated carbon is an excellent natural remedy for many pathologies, used for thousands of years and for many purposes; today we want to show you two simple recipes that, in addition to being good, are also very healthy.

Activated carbon bread

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of type 0 flour
  • 300 milliliters of water (manually adjust for optimum consistency)
  • 15 grams of activated carbon powder
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 20 almonds
  • fresh brewer's yeast 10 grams

NB: coat the worktop with parchment paper and use disposable gloves

Sift the flour together with the activated carbon powder. Take a small part of the flour and add the yeast previously dissolved in room temperature or slightly warm water. Mix and leave to rest for 30 minutes.

After the rest time, add the remaining flour, the oil, the salt and mix.

After forming a smooth dough, cover with plastic wrap and let it rise for a couple of hours or until it has doubled in volume. After leavening, with great care, place the dough on a work surface, spread it gently with your fingertips and then fold it three times, always taking care not to press too much. Crush the air bubbles that formed during the leavening.

Form the loaf and let it rise for another hour.

Once the second leavening has been carried out, form cuts transversely (optional) and bake for 40 minutes in the oven with static mode at 200 degrees. Always check the cooking before taking out the loaf.


Yogurt and activated carbon ice cream:

Ingredients:

  • 1 container of vanilla and coconut yogurt (or other lactose-free yogurt)
  • ¼ teaspoon of activated carbon powder (it is also possible to open a capsule - easily available in herbalists or online stores-)
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable milk (type of almonds, oats or other)

For mood powder:

  • ⅓ cup of coconut without sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of organic brown sugar or liquid sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon of maca powder

The  Maca  is a complete biological supplement, rich in vitamins (C, A, and B3), essential minerals (calcium, iron, potassium) and important fatty acids for cardiovascular functioning and the regulation of blood pressure

 

  • pour the yogurt in trays for ice cubes - it will take about 5 -
  • Put in the freezer for about 4 hours or until it becomes solid.
  • Put the ice cubes with half a glass of vegetable milk in a blender or kitchen mixer, run at maximum speed
  • Chop everything until a creamy consistency is obtained. Once a smooth mixture is obtained, add charcoal and mix well.
  • Pour the mixture into a small bowl and put in the freezer for about 20 minutes if you want a more compact ice cream.
  • In the meantime, add coconut, maca and sugar (or liquid sweetener) in a mixer and chop for about 30 seconds until it forms a very fine sandy compound.
  • Collect the frozen yogurt with a spoon or with the appropriate tool and place it in a bowl. I will add the coconut powder.


Recipes with activated carbon: chia seed pudding

Chia seed pudding should not be cooked but left to rest for at least an hour

For a portion

  • 200 ml of almond milk or rice milk
  • 40 grams of chia seeds
  • liquid sweetener
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • a teaspoon of sunflower or pumpkin seeds
  • 10 ml lemon juice (two teaspoons)

Put all the ingredients in a container and mix them perfectly. Place in the refrigerator, the chia must grow and become gelatinous. Allow at least an hour to pass before enjoying it. If you like, garnish with berries and almonds.
